Todd Stocker is a pastor, church planter and professional speaker and writer. For the past decade, Stocker has written numerous articles and devotionals for church publications. He has been a published staff writer for the Houston, Texas magazine Connect Quarterly and Living Magazine. Stocker has written powerful skits for churches and non-profits and most recently his drama Do You See What I See debuted at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Houston, TX.
His current book, An 8-track Parent In An Mp3 World, helps parents and their children establish and agree upon guidelines regarding song choices. Since published, Stocker has discussed the book on air with radio stations such as Moody Broadcasting's Urban Praise in Chicago, IL, KDAZ Christian Broadcasting in Albuquerque, NM and Joy FM in Salem North Carolina. (This book is being re-published through Kregel Publishers under a new title. Watch for more! Due out in the Fall of 2010!)
Stocker is currently working on his next book entitled “Image – How To Be Beautiful Without Even Trying” which help teens deal with establishing a healthy self-image.
An accomplished musician and worship leader, Stocker has lead praise teams in Arizona, Minnesota and Missouri and is currently co-directing the Sr. and Jr. High praise team called IGNITE at Lutheran South Academy (lutheransouth.org) in Houston, TX. Stocker is also a published composer of the song Let Us Bow.
As a nationally sought after communicator and winner of the Rickman Award for Creative Communication, Stocker has been the key note speaker at youth camps, men’s and women’s ministry events, large staff retreats and chamber of commerce luncheons. Stocker led the Bible study sessions at the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League Pacific Southwest District Convention in Palm Springs, California.
Most notably, Stocker is the dad to three wonderful kids and the husband to one beautiful and talented wife. This, of course, is Stocker’s highest acclaimed achievement!
